The BW Hotel Quartier Latin Panthéon overlooks the Place Monge. Many times our guests have asked about the origin of this name, and we delight in telling about one of the finest minds France has produced; Gaspard Monge, the brilliant mathematician and inventor of descriptive geometry.

As befits the reputation of Paris as a world capital of fine gastronomic experiences, the city plays host to some superb, high quality gourmet fairs. There are two gourmet shows that we would like to bring to your attention, in particular the Salon du Chocolat, at the Porte de Versailles exhibition centre and the Grand Tasting at the Carrousel du Louvre.
